The earring is one of the most conspicuous adornments among women’s various jewelry. However, someone just cares the style of earrings but neglects her face shape. Actually, the choice of earrings should largely depend on one’s face shape so that the earrings can visually modify the face shape to make you face look more beautiful.
Face shapes can be classified under 6 basic types: round, rectangular, triangular, heart-shaped, long and oval. Here are some tips for selecting earrings based on these face shapes.
Round:
To make a round face look slender, you can select rectangular, teardrop, oblongoval and leaf-shaped earrings, the slender shape of which can balance the face line. A round face should stay away from square and round earrings especially big hoop earrings to avoid the big or round shapes appearing around the face. Rectangular:

Triangular:

Heart-shaped:
In contrast to the triangular-shaped face, people with a heart-shaped face will want to select earrings wider at the bottom like teardrop shape earrings and stay away from earrings with shapes of rhombus, inverted triangle and heart; otherwise, the lower jaw will look more pointed and thinner.
Long:
For long-shaped faces, wear round earrings or earrings with horizontal design, since round, sectorial and quadrate shapes can subtly add width to your face and lessen the length, while cylindrical and oblongoval shapes would make your face look longer. Traditional peal studs and stone studs closely attaching to the ears serve best for long face.
Oval:
For an oval face, have a wide range of choices. Teardrop earrings, triangular-shaped earrings and stud earrings…all are good choices.
